Green Smoothie #2


This smoothie was made with: 1 mango, 1 lime (squeezed), 1 lemon (squeezed), 2 cups of baby lettuce mix, 5 large mint leaves, and coconut water as needed slightly modified from The Healthy Green Drink Diet: Advice and Recipes to Energize, Alkalize, Lose Weight, and Feel Great Jason Manheim.

The author calls this drink Mango-Mint-jito which is a version of a virgin Mojito. It has a wonderful aroma and and is very delicious. It is my favorite one so far, and the baby lettuce blends nicely with the handheld blender. Any green could be substituted for the baby lettuce but I can’t promise that it will taste just as good. I bought all my ingredients from Trader Joes and the baby lettuce mix comes in a bag which makes it convenient. In fact all the greens I bought for my green smoothies are all in bags (I love simplicity and convenience). Again, this is an awesome green drink 🙂
